A person has been transported to the hospital with serious injuries following a fire in Killingly Thursday afternoon.

Connecticut State Police said they responded to Hartford Pike around 1:30 p.m. for a reported structure fire.

One person inside the home was taken to the hospital in a LifeStar helicopter.

Everyone else was able to make it out safely and no other injuries were reported, according to police.

The Fire and Explosives Investigative Unit is helping the local fire marshal conduct an investigation.
