A new approach to standardized testing in Missouri public schools, currently being piloted in two Franklin County school districts, received federal approval to go statewide last week.

The U.S. Department of Education has selected Missouri as the recipient of a grant “to pilot an innovative statewide assessment program focused on improving existing assessments,” according to a Thursday statement by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). ×
