The 2025 Cal Ripken World Series is set to formally kick off Friday in Vincennes and bring a big economic impact along with it.

Our partners at WTWO-TV Channel 2 report 24 teams of nine and 10-year-old players have arrived from around the world, including Aruba, Germany, Mexico and the Philippines.

It will be the eighth time the Vincennes Cub League has hosted the event. The last time was in 2022, when 18 teams came to the city and generated a nearly $5 million economic impact.
