LATROBE (WTAJ) -- Saturday's preseason opener won't mean a whole lot to the grizzled veterans on the Steelers, in fact, Mike Tomlin said Thursday that Aaron Rodgers and T.J. Watt were among the players sitting out. But to others on the back end of the depth chart, their preseason performance can help them earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
"Obviously, you go in with a shortened playbook, we're not carrying in a whole menu, you know, for each game. So you don't really have that much to try to do," said corner Beanie Bishop. "You don't have that much to worry about. So you can go out there and play fast. So it's all you know about displaying your abilities to play football."
