BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - More affordable housing units are coming to Cambrian Rise, the multi-year Burlington waterfront development.

The Champlain Housing Trust says it is adding another building to the project with 40 new permanently affordable units. That’s on top of the 72 existing units.

Rents will range from $1,300 for a one-bedroom to 1,800 for a three-bedroom.

“These 40 apartments will help people feel safe and secure in a home that cannot be sold. A home where they cannot be upended or displaced. A home that is permanently affordable for them as long as they are able,” said the trust’s Michael Monte.
