KILLEEN, Texas — Members of the Killeen Fire Department staged a daring rescue this week, saving a dog trapped under its family's shed.
The City of Killeen shared that Cooper, a 14-year-old dog, found himself in a "tough spot" after getting disoriented and getting stuck under his mom's shed.
Thankfully, the Engine 5 crew of firefighters came to the rescue, the City said. With some "patience and care," the firefighters were reportedly able to safely free Cooper and reunite with him with his family.
"Sometimes it's the smallest rescues that remind us why we do what we do," the City of Killeen said in a post on social media.
