JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (WGEM) - Missouri state officials will be at the state fair on Thursday to reveal the state’s 2025-2026 Official State Highway Map.
The map will feature an aerial photo of Missouri Route 79 near the DuPont Reservation Conservation Area south of Hannibal.
Inside the map is a welcome letter from Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe that encourages travelers to stop and admire the Show-Me State.
Another feature the map includes is the 2020 U.S. Census population numbers for cities throughout the state and a current list of state parks and historic sites.
There are more than 4,000 highway shields and over 2,000 towns featured on the front of the map, connected by 33,814 miles of state highways, 5,300 miles of railroad tracks, and 1,385 miles of Interstate highways. The map also inc
