Three Senior Agents, Including One on Trump-Related Probes, Dismissed from Bureau

Three senior FBI officials, including one who worked on investigations involving President Donald Trump, are being fired from the bureau, according to multiple reports. The dismissals come amid accusations of insubordination and misconduct, drawing scrutiny from congressional leaders.

The officials facing termination are Brian Driscoll, Walter Giardina, and Steve Jensen. Driscoll briefly served as acting director at the start of Trump’s second term.

According to the New York Times, he was accused of “insubordination” by Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove for allegedly resisting efforts to hand over information about agents involved in January 6 investigations.
