A couple hours from their West Oakland home, the Ballers have a lesser-known relative in the Pioneer League. Think of the Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers as the couchsurfing Central Valley stepbrothers to the B’s. Rugged and sun-blasted, they lack the acclaim and resources of the Oakland bunch. They might be in the midst of a little identity crisis as well. But none of that is going to stop them from trying to beat up on their coastal kin whenever the family gets together.
