AUSTIN, Texas — A North Austin restaurant is temporarily closed for repairs after a car slammed into its building early Sunday , causing extensive damage for the second time in two years.
Gusto Italian Kitchen, located at Burnet Road and West 47th Street in the Rosedale neighborhood, is facing an estimated $100,000 in repairs, according to owner Cameron Lockley.
“Fortunately, the building damage is covered by the landlord, who owns the property, and she's working with her insurance company,” Lockley said. “But in total, it'll take about two weeks to get the repairs done.”
