A pro-Palestine protestor was detained and trespassed from Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center Wednesday after rushing toward U.S. Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan and Department of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Kennedy, Murkowski and Sullivan met with Tanana Chiefs Conference leaders Wednesday afternoon in Fairbanks and spoke during a press conference outside the health center as part of Kennedy’s tour of Alaska.
Patrick Woolery, 25, said he heard that Kennedy was coming to Fairbanks and saw it as an opportunity to make a statement about Palestine.
About nine minutes into the press conference, Woolery rushed toward Kennedy and the senators yelling “You’re committing genocide” while Kennedy was speaking.
