A 16-year-old Fremont girl who had been missing for nearly two weeks was found safe and unharmed Thursday, according to police.

Fremont police said Katie Hong was located Thursday afternoon and would be reunited with her family. She had been missing since July 25.

According to police, Katie left a note saying she was running away to get together with someone or a group of people she met online. She only had their online user names and investigators said those names have provided no information on her whereabouts.

Surveillance video captured Katie walking in the direction of Irvington Community Park on July 25.

No other details were immediately available.
