JCPS gives all clear on students getting home after first day of classes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - JCPS officials have given the all clear after all bus riders were dropped off.

According to JCPS spokesperson Carolyn Callahan, all JCPS bus riders had been dropped off.

Callahan said that at 6 p.m., there were 13 buses on the road carrying 47 students, and at 6:23 p.m., there was only one bus on the road.

Today’s times are a continued considerable improvement from JCPS’ first day back two years ago, when the last student wasn’t dropped off at home until almost 10 p.m.
