SKOWHEGAN, Maine (WABI) - More than a dozen Maine non-profits will be able to put their best foot forward thanks to grants from New Balance.

The New Balance Foundation this week announced grants totaling more than $1.7 million to these non-profits that serve our state:

Good Shepherd Food Bank, Youth & Family Initiatives

UMaine Cooperative Ext. 4-H Camps and Learning Center, North Star Youth Mentoring Program

Healthy Oxford Hills, Growing Healthy Kids Program

JMG (Jobs for Maine Graduates), Empowering Futures in Somerset & Oxford Counties

Maine School Administrative District #54, Healthy Kid Pack

Maine Children’s Home, Winter Essentials & Holiday Program

100 Mile Club, Maine Expansion

Norway Parks & Recreation Department, Program Support & Expans
