KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Kansas, man was sentenced Thursday to nearly four years in prison for drug trafficking.
According to court documents, Rayvon Porter, 33, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and fentanyl. He was sentenced to 46 months in prison.
The investigation into Porter stemmed from multiple fentanyl-related overdoses. While investigating the supplier, Porter was identified as a suspect – and law enforcement began to conduct surveillance.
Investigators took him into custody while he was inside a business. While searching his car, they found a loaded Glock handgun, 1.32 grams of cocaine, 9.7 grams of fentanyl and digital scales.
