CROWN POINT — A 14-year-old girl who overdosed on a combination of marijuana and narcotics in June told police her grandmother was the one who provided her with the drugs.
Charges were filed Monday against Lora Jones, 55, of Schererville, for dealing in a schedule four controlled substance, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and misdemeanor criminal recklessness. Authorities took Jones into custody Wednesday and a judge set her bond at $3,000 cash or $30,000 surety, according to online court records.
