BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of paralyzing a teen in a crash in December of 2018, but it was apparently filed and forgotten.
That warrant was filed on February 15, 2019. But years later, it remains active but has never been executed.
The WAFB I-TEAM featured Raycarl Henderson’s story two weeks ago. Henderson was paralyzed in that crash while leaving work on Greenwell Springs Road. He was riding in a vehicle that was hit by another driver and ejected onto the curb days before Christmas 2018.
“I used to run track in high school before I graduated,” Henderson said. “I was one of the top runners on my team. I used to run the 1400-1600 meters. I was real good at it.”
All of that came to an end following the crash. Henderson was para
