BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The new school year is just around the corner. Several organizations in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas are hosting back-to-school events, school supply drives, and giveaways.

Saturday, Aug. 9

BACK TO SCHOOL PEP RALLY : EnVision Youth Ministry is hosting a back to school pep rally on Saturday, Aug. 9. The free public event is from 9 a.m. until noon at the Iberville Christian Center, located at 4070 Highway 30 in St. Gabriel. There will be free school supplies, sports physicals, dental screenings and cleanings, access to local resources, food, inflatables, face painting, dance and cheer performances, and live music.
