BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - East Baton Rouge Parish is back to school.
And with it, a fresh excitement for both administration and students alike.
“I was happy,” said 6th-gradeth student Kendrick Williams. “I wanted some more time for summer, but like, I was happy.”
Williams attends Park Elementary this year. He says from what he can tell, spirits are high.
“The energy is good,” said Williams. “Like everybody wants to be here, everybody is having a good time.”
“We’ve been bringing the energy, we’re talking to the kids, we’re welcoming them back to school, and they’re excited,” said LaMont Cole, EBR Schools superintendent.
Cole says he is thrilled to be in his second year serving the students, parents, and faculty.
