A second person has been arrested for illegally harvesting dozens of lobsters just before the season opened in the Florida Keys.

What started as a solo arrest has now become a joint effort by law enforcement. A second person, Daily Brito Fernandez, a 27-year-old Marathon woman, was arrested Thursday in connection with the pre-season lobster trap robbery that took place hours before the start of regular lobster season.

Fernandez was charged with trap molestation, possession of out-of-season lobster, and being a principal in a crime. She joins Dorgis Rodriguez Lugones, 40, who was arrested on Tuesday and charged with the same crimes, along with tampering with evidence.
