IRON RIVER, Wis. (Northern News Now) - The Bayfield County Fair in Wisconsin has been held for more than 120 years. They’re expecting hundreds of visitors to their fairgrounds in Iron River starting Thursday afternoon.
The Bayfield County Fair has been a summer staple for members of the community for decades. But for the volunteers and workers, the fair has been part of their entire lives.
“It’s like the whole Bayfield County, we’re all one family, so everybody knows everybody. So, kids are running around, and you might think they don’t have any supervisors, but yeah, they have lots of family supervisors,” Glory Bizub said.
4-H Superintendent, Glory Bizub, has been involved in the fair for 68 years now, following the same passions her mom had for the fair decades ago.
