A homeless woman has been charged with assault and false imprisonment of a Long Island woman , whose apartment she was temporarily staying in.

Nassau County police received a call from a third party on Tuesday night claiming her friend was being held against her will at a residence in Farmingdale, cops said in a press release Thursday.

“Upon arrival, officers were met with defendant Shawnequa Polite, 42, and a female victim, 28, who had visible injuries on her,” authorities said.

A subsequent investigation revealed the two women had gotten into an argument over finances, which escalated to Polite punching and kicking the victim before locking her in a room.
