MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Chiefs are fired up and hitting the field before the sun even rises to prepare for this season.
West Ouachita is coming off historic accomplishments last year, including a program best 9-1 regular season and its first playoff win in 17 years.
Head Coach Mike Rainwater and company refuse to rest on their laurels as the Chiefs are ready to make more history in 2025.
Rainwater says, "Well, you know, last year was great, but last year was over. You know, this year’s seniors and this year’s teams got their own goals. They’ve got different goals. We got a lot of things we didn’t we didn’t accomplish last year that we won’t accomplish this year. The district championships #1, you know, and and then making the playoffs and seeing how far we can go in the playoffs."
