MONROE, La. (KNOE) - In the small town of Vidalia, one woman is etching her name into medical history.
“My name is Audrey Crews. I am the first female recipient of the Neuralink implant that allows me to control a laptop cursor with my mind telepathically.”
In 2005, Audrey’s life was completely changed.
“I was in a car accident on my way home from school. And I received a C4-C5 compression fracture in my neck, which caused my spinal cord to pinch and that left me a quadriplegic, meaning all four limbs are paralyzed,” Audrey said. “I can’t do anything for myself or feed myself or anything like that.”
