( 25News Now ) - As the MLB trade deadline came to a close, Cardinals fans found out that their all-star closer Ryan Helsley would be traded to the New York Mets for three minor league prospects.
For many it didn’t change anything, but for infielder Jesus Baez and pitchers Frank Elissalt and Nate Dohm, it meant saying goodbye to their Brooklyn Cyclone teammates, and joining their new Peoria Chief teammates in a brand new part of the country, all within 24 hours.
The stadiums, teams, and teammates may have changed, but for those three prospects their goal remains the same: become a big leaguer, now as a St. Louis Cardinal.
