GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Hornady Manufacturing has pledged $100,000 to support a housing project in Grand Island.

The donation will go toward Hope Harbor’s Lighthouse Apartments. Once completed, those will provide 20 units of permanent supportive housing for individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness.

Hope Harbor Executive Director Liz Mayfield said the gift is more than a monetary contribution.

“Their support brings us one step closer to creating a place where stability, safety and dignity are possible for everyone,” Mayfield said. “This gift is more than a donation — it’s a statement of belief in a stronger, more inclusive future.”

The $10 million project is slated to break ground in spring 2026, with completion expected in 2027.
