MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — After new renovations to its baseball field, Stepping Stones felt the need for an addition that could potentially save a life.

Through Project Adam, AED 365, and Coro Med, WVU Medicine's Children's Heart Center recently donated an AED to Stepping Stones Miracle Field.

Although Stepping Stones already has an AED within its facility, the organization decided to have another device closer to the field and playground, which could save time that would make the difference in saving a life.

Sudden cardiac arrest can occur when a heart stops beating, but more commonly when a heart develops an irregular heartbeat that makes the heart ineffective. According to WVU Medicine's Children's Heart Center nurse practitioner, Tracy Coup, the only way to help is to start CPR and
