The Walker County Animal Shelter is teaming up with the ASPCA to join #TheRescueEffect , a national initiative aimed at increasing pet adoptions and creating more space in shelters for animals in need.

As part of the campaign, the shelter will waive all adoption fees for two days only — Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9 . The promotion includes spay/neuter services, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, and a registered microchip at no cost to the adopter.
