If you're looking to enjoy the summer with your beloved furry friends, Michigan offers plenty of spots, though the state's biggest city ranks low among the most "pet friendly" spots nationally, according to a recent analysis.

A recent study by personal finance company WalletHub looked at the nation's 100 largest cities and ranked them for pet-friendliness, considering cost, outdoor walkability, and pets' health and wellbeing.

Detroit ranked 92nd with 43.76 points out of 100, pushed toward the bottom of the list by its poor results on pet health and wellness, and outdoor pet-friendliness, according to the analysis.

While WalletHub didn't exacting wag its tail for the Motor City, Michigan features a variety of pet-friendly attractions to check out across the Lower and Upper Peninsul
