MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The former Memphis police officer accused of kidnapping and murdering a man while on duty back in 2021 has pleaded guilty to his federal charges three months before he was set to go on trial.
Patric Ferguson, 33, is accused of kidnapping, shooting, and killing 30-year-old Robert Howard while on duty back in 2021.
He pleaded guilty to federal civil rights, kidnapping and weapon offenses during a court hearing Thursday.
A sentencing hearing is set for November 13.
