LOUISVILLE — After going down a run in the first inning, the Toledo Mud Hens scored eight unanswered runs and cruised to a 9-4 victory over the Louisville Bats on Thursday at Louisville Slugger Stadium.

Eduardo Valencia’s bat had plenty to say in the five-run win for the Hens (60-51) as he hit for the cycle, going 4-for-5 with 4 RBIs. Gage Workman had a solid performance, as well, for Toledo, finishing 2-for-2 with a home run and an RBI.

Trei Cruz homered, as well, for the Mud Hens and drove in a run. As a team, the Hens found success with runners in scoring position, finishing 5 of 13 on the night.
