NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio — A Wood County woman was killed Friday morning when her vehicle crashed into an unoccupied propane truck, officials said.

Kristine Krotzer, 58, of Bloomdale, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash reported at 8:37 a.m., the Wood County Sheriff’s Office said.

Ms. Krotzer was driving east on State Rt. 18 near Bushey Road in Bloom Township, according to the report. A propane freightliner was disabled on the south side of the road, facing east. Ms. Krotzer’s minivan failed to slow for the disabled truck and struck its back end, the report said.

Freightliner operator Kenneth Mulkey, 37, of Portage, Ohio, was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash and was uninjured.

Warning equipment was in place, and Ms. Krotzer was wearing her seat belt at the time
