BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Rain chances will temporarily drop a touch for the next couple of days before rebounding once again into the first half of next week.

FRIDAY FORECAST

We should enjoy a mainly dry start to the day, with rain chances climbing to around 30% during the afternoon, and highs ranging from the low to mid 90s.

RAIN CHANCES REBOUND

While Friday and Saturday may deliver a little less in the way of rainfall, showers and t-storms will once again increase from Sunday into the first half of next week.

The culprit behind the increased rain chances will be a tropical wave currently near Florida that will track toward the northern Gulf Coast during the early to mid part of next week.
