CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Two-time national champion, and former Iowa State wrestler, David Carr, is set to be a part of Real American Freestyle.
The league is unscripted professional wrestling, attempting to sustain the first of that kind. RAF has signed many of the best wrestlers in the world.
For Carr, he’s excited to bring an extra bit of excitement to the sport.
“You’re going to be able to see more content than ever for wrestling. And you think about the UFC, where you get kind of, ‘This guys the villain or this guy, everybody loves him.’ You’re going to kind of have that relationship with the wrestlers now with this new league,” said Carr.
The first event takes place on August 30th in Cleveland, Ohio.
Carr will not take part in the first event, but Iowa’s Kennedy Blades will.
