CHARLOTTE, Vt. (WCAX) - Boat owners in Charlotte have to find a new spot to keep their vessels after a marina lost its lease.
As reported by our media partners at Seven Days.
After 20 years in business, the owner of Charlotte Sailing Center, Andy O’Brien, says Lake Champlain Transportation, the marina’s property owners, told him they would not be renewing his lease.
O’Brien says the company, which operates two ferry routes on Lake Champlain, informed the dozens of people who have their boats there that they have until September 1st to remove any vessels stored on land and until October 1st to vacate their moorings.
No official word yet on any future plans for the space.
