LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- An artist on the Eastside is looking to open a neighborhood print shop for the Lansing art community.

Jimmy “Soup” Coyer is the owner of Ultra Mega and the organizer behind the Lansing Independent Comics and Zine Fest – and he hopes that soon, he’ll also be the owner of a neighborhood print shop where local artists can come and use equipment they wouldn’t have access to otherwise.

Last August, Coyer purchased a home on the Eastside and has spent the better part of a year slowly transforming two of its rooms into a shared print studio, building new equipment and picking up used equipment from closing print shops.
