ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - DeKalb County is advancing its water main replacement project to improve aging infrastructure. However, local businesses and residents are affected by road closures from the College Avenue project.

A manager of a local bar and restaurant in Avondale Estates, who preferred to remain off-camera, understands the need for the ongoing work. However, he acknowledged that it puts him and his staff in a difficult financial situation, seeing a dip in sales since the project began earlier this summer.

“Makes it a lot less convenient to get to,” shared Oli Conlan, who just finished eating dinner at a restaurant on North Clarendon Avenue when we met him on Thursday night.
