ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - During their Monday meeting, the Tucker City Council will discuss their plans to possibly limit the amount of drive-thru restaurants in the city.
A moratorium that’s been in place since February on new drive-thrus also ends on Monday.
The proposed ordinance would modify where drive-thru restaurants would be allowed.
Longtime resident Cindy Daniell said she is tired of drive-thrus and would like to see a limit on them because of issues like traffic.
“The McDonald’s... they back up Lawrenceville Highway, and then you have people waiting to turn in, coming from the other way, and it’s like, ‘Are you going to park or are you going to wait 30 minutes in a drive-thru?’” she said.
