SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - GoNetspeed organized a 'Back to School Family Day' at the American Red Cross Donation Center in Springfield, offering local children backpacks and school supplies to prepare for the upcoming school year.

The event, held at the American Red Cross Donation Center on Brookdale Drive, aimed to support families in the community as they gear up for the new academic year.

"Blood donors can donate every 56 days. We also have other technologies and blood products that we collect here as well that are also good for cancer patients," said Yasmari Cardenales.

The Red Cross partners with businesses and organizations to better serve the community. They encourage those interested in volunteering or donating blood to visit their website for more information.
