FARGO — The Fargo Davies Eagles football program has been one of the most consistent on North Dakota's east side for nearly a decade.

They enter 2025 averaging seven wins per season since 2020, and have not had a losing season since 2017.

That includes a 10-2 season in 2024, ultimately losing in Class 3A's Dakota Bowl to West Fargo Sheyenne, the second championship game appearance in their history.

"I was really mad after that state championship loss last year, really think we should have beat them," said senior Blake McCarthy.

Under head coach Wayne Werremeyer, he says one of the program's main features has been their physicality, and the players have fed off the mentality he's preached.

"We're such a physical football team, that's why I love playing on this team, it's just awesome,"
