Authorities Thursday publicly identified a septuagenarian and a teenage boy who lost their lives over the last 10 days in San Diego area traffic accidents.

Shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday, 79-year-old Chong Kim of Valley Center was fatally injured when he got into a collision while driving an SUV on southbound Interstate 15 north of Camino Del Norte in Rancho Penasquitos, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office .

Kim died at the scene of the accident.
