There's a nationwide recall in effect for Fieldsheer Heated Socks due to a potential injury hazard. The manufacturer is recalling approximately 45,000 pairs of these socks after receiving numerous reports of the product either causing pain or actual burns and blisters.

The recall was announced on Aug. 7, with the "remedy" for the fault socks either being a refund or a replacement pair. Here's what to know about these problematic socks.

The recall applies to Fieldsheer Apparel Technologies' heated socks with model numbers MWMS07, MWWS07 and MWMS05.
