The exact date a August heatwave - the fourth of the year - hits the country has been revealed . Maps and charts show the UK could bask in 33C highs, across five dates, as the country experiences a fourth heatwave of the summer.

WX Charts, which are based on Met Desk data, show temperatures as high as 33C are set to hit next week. The heatwave could kick off from Wednesday, 13 August, with 29C highs, before gradually progressing through the week towards a 33C peak.

The weather could last through Thursday, August 14 and Friday, August 15, into Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17. The heatwave has been hinted at by the Met Office, which states the mercury is expected to exceed 30°C in places across parts of central, southern and eastern England on Monday and Tuesday.
