ORCHIDLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - A mother mourning her son’s sudden death at the hands of an alleged drunk driver on Hawaii Island was infuriated by the suspect’s behavior two months after the crash.
Hawaii News Now is not identifying the suspect because he hasn’t yet been charged. However, police say the 30-year-old was responsible for a Kurtistown crash in May that killed a young man.
Anjela Robertson last’s phone call to her son, Maxwell Robertson-Sherwood, was at 6:53 p.m. on May 16.
“He wanted to come up here and sleep and shower, have a warm meal. He needed some tape because his earphones had just broke. So I told him, yes, I have tape to help fix your earphones,” his mom, Anjela Robertson, said.
