PATTERSON, Calif. —

A Bay Area family is tirelessly searching for 15-year-old Aaron Ramirez, who went missing after a deadly crash sent a vehicle into an aqueduct in Patterson early Tuesday morning.

"It's going to be hot the next few days, but we're going to do whatever we can to try to find him," said his uncle Javier Ramirez.

The search began three days ago when Aaron went missing after the crash.

"It's hard. It's hard to talk about. I'm just trying to stay strong with everything," said Ramirez.

Aaron and his father were driving north on Interstate 5 Tuesday morning when the California Highway Patrol said they veered off the road and ended up in the California aqueduct.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office Dive Team responded to help recover the SUV from the water, CHP said.
