Facing the wrecking ball after being deemed structurally unsafe, a nearly 200-year-old home in Richmond’s Union Hill neighborhood has weeks to find a buyer before becoming history.

Area real estate agent Jennie Dotts is working with owner Chris Pollock to try to find a buyer willing to rehab or relocate the 1840s-era house at 2228 Cedar St.

The two-story home atop a prominent English basement fronts Cedar at its crossroads with Jessamine Street, just west and across 23rd Street from Metzger Bar & Butchery restaurant.
