A longtime local TGI Fridays has ended operations, and its space near the intersection of Broad and Glenside has already been leased by another business.
The restaurant chain’s location at 7023 W. Broad St. closed in recent days, while a sale of the building’s equipment and fixtures was held earlier this week.
The restaurant had operated there for years and was franchised by locally based United Restaurant Group, which runs the last two remaining TGI Fridays in the Richmond region.
A message posted on the door of the restaurant didn’t offer a reason why the restaurant went dark.
“This decision was not made lightly,” the note about the closing read in part. “Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives and your community for over 40 years.”
