Leeds United supporters and city residents have just days left to post their comments of support or objection to Leeds City Council regarding the Elland Road expansion proposals.
Initial surveys and public consultations staged by the club revealed that 98 per cent of respondents supported the overall plans. Upon completion, expansions to the West Stand and North Stand will see capacity rise to 53,000.
The City Council , whose members were impressed by the extent of the club’s public consultation process, has held its own statutory public consultation period for the plans. This will end on Tuesday, August 12.
At the time of writing, 889 public comments have been submitted, with an overwhelming majority of 849 of them in support of the plans. The number of neutral comments stands at
