The Passaic County Fair returns to Garret Mountain in mid-August with four days of live music, carnival rides and food trucks.

The event, hosted by the county Board of Commissioners, is set to run Thursday, Aug. 14, through Sunday, Aug. 17, in the reservation’s upper field. Admission is free, with parking available for $5. Proceeds will benefit the Friends of Passaic County Parks, county officials said.

The fair opens at 6 p.m. on Thursday with Family Night, when visitors can purchase $30 wristbands for unlimited amusement rides. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
