Calhoun County Treasurer Melinda Weaver has been recognized with the Service Award from the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada.

The award celebrates Weaver's commitment to the treasury profession and her contributions to public finance, according to a community announcement. It was presented in July during the association's annual conference.

Weaver was appointed Calhoun County Treasurer in May 2025, after 11 years of service within the treasurer’s office in various roles, including chief deputy treasurer.
